Biography/bywgraffiad

Gerald Morgan lives in Aberystwyth and is a teacher and historian. After teaching English at Ysgol Maes Garmon, Mold, and at Ysgol Gyfun Aberteifi, he served 22 years as headteacher first of Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni and then of Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig, Aberystwyth. A second career saw him teaching Welsh and local history in the Extra–Mural Department of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He has published books and articles on a wide range of subjects, focussing on Welsh history.

Athro a hanesydd yw Gerald Morgan.  Wedi cyfnod yn dysgu Saesneg yn Ysgol Maes Garmon ac yn Ysgol Gyfun Aberteifi, bu’n brifathro Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni ac Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig, Aberystwyth.  Dechreuodd ail yrfa’n dysgu Cymraeg a hanes lleol yn Adran Efrydiau Allanol Prifysgol Cymru, Aberystwyth.   Cyhoeddodd nifer helaeth o lyfrau ac erthyglau ar amryw bynciau, gan ganolbwyntio ar hanes Cymru.  Mae’n byw yn Aberystwyth.
